A Pop Artist for the 21st Century, Coady conveys the pulse of contemporary culture, our addictions and our habits of consumption.

A humorous, playful, yet absurd take on our youth obsessed culture. Working across a diverse range of media including sculpture, installation, video, performance and painting, Coady questions our conceptions of self, our mind and body and our surrounding reality.

Coady’s work uses a diverse range of new materials to create recognizable seductive shapes and smooth shiny surfaces to entice her viewers. Replicating the same self-perpetuating culture, which urges us toward increased levels of consumption and promises of good health thru self-medication. Coady offers up her vision for a better future in the form of giant shiny pills to satisfy our appetite for a perfect consumerist world.

Coady completed the Master of Contemporary Art at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2015.

Recent Exhibitions include “Self-Revelatory Schematics” at Seventh Gallery and “Morphia” at Chin Chin, Melbourne.

Coady has been a finalist in numerous prizes including Sculpture by the Sea (2016), the Portia Geach Memorial Award (2009), SCAP 3D (2012), Whyalla Art Prize (2015). Artworks are also held in private collections in Australia, UK and Singapore.
